Restoration
"Berlin Alexanderplatz" is a monument of late 20th-century filmmaking and is seen by many as the consummate expression of film giant Rainer Werner Fassbinder´s vision of humanity. Produced in 1979/80, it has now been restored in digital format and is available for the first time on 35mm film.
BERLIN ALEXANDERPLATZ: REMASTERED is a cooperation of Bavaria Media and Rainer Werner Fassbinder Foundation (RWFF) in collaboration with CinePostproduction and ARRI. Supported by the Kulturstiftung des Bundes (German Federal Cultural Foundation) and Filmförderungsanstalt, Filmstiftung Nordrhein-Westfalen, Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, FilmFernsehFonds Bayern, German Films, with contributions from MoMA - The Museum of Modern Art and the RWFF.
