A brilliant brain surgeon, compassionate physician and borderline workaholic, Dr. Sonya Martin has excellent chances of being appointed clinic director. To have gotten this far she's needed tremendous discipline, along with the superhuman patience and support of her husband Bernhard. These solid pillars of her existence begin to sway when the couple is suddenly forced to take care of their three young grandchildren for a couple of weeks. Problems ensue, ranging from kiddy food preferences to teen heartache. It's all a bit too much for Sonya, who tries desperately to control the situation that's constantly slipping from her hands... and into those of Bernhard. Though he's a busy lawyer himself, he always seems to have time for the kids. But there is one thing that's increasingly missing in Bernhard's life: Sonya. Brillante chirurgienne du cerveau, médecin attentif et accroc du travail, le Dr. Sonya Martin a toutes les chances d'être nommée directrice de la clinique. Pour en arriver là, elle a fait preuve d'une discipline de fer, mais a surtout aussi bénéficié de l'infinie patience et du soutien de son mari, Bernhard. Mais tout cela commence à vaciller lorsque le couple doit soudain veiller sur ses trois petits-enfants pendant quelques semaines. Les problèmes s'enchaînent, depuis les caprices à table jusqu'aux chagrins d'amours adolescentes. Un peu trop pour Sonya qui essaie désespérément de contrôler une situation qui ne cesse de lui échapper… Quant à Bernhard, il a beau être un avocat très demandé, il semble toujours avoir le temps pour les enfants.
