Lively Surprise
Ever since policewoman Lena Stern left her fiancé Jörg for his best friend Michael, she and Michael have been leading a nearly perfect life. But only "nearly": Michael, a physician, wants to start a family; Lena wants to move up on the career ladder. But before they know it, they've already got a family on their hands: two girls and a baby boy who suddenly show up on their doorstep. Their parents have died, they don't want to be separated, and their only known relative is Jörg, who's just left on a long trip… For Michael, it's a baptism of fire as he suddenly finds himself a father of three, albeit temporarily. But while he panics when the kids turn his orderly life upside down, Lena falls for baby Jessie and finds a soft spot for the two girls as well. Soon both Michael and Lena are thinking of adoption: he wants to give them away, she wants them herself. Since they can't seem to make up their minds, it's the girls who do it for them: they run away. Somehow, their absence not only makes the house feel empty - it makes Michael feel empty too. So off he goes to track them down, braving all sorts of obstacles before he can finally embrace "his" kids again and bring them back home.

Depuis que l'officier de police Lena Stern a quitté son fiancé Jörg pour son meilleur ami Michael, elle et Michael filent le parfait amour. Ou presque: Michael, médecin, rêve de fonder une famille; Lena veut gravir les échelons dans la police. Mais avant qu'ils n'aient le temps de trouver un compromis, une famille leur tombe littéralement du ciel: deux jeunes filles flanquées d'un bébé frappent un beau jour à leur porte. Ayant perdu leurs parents, et voulant rester ensemble, les enfants sont venus chercher refuge chez Jörg, le seul proche parent qu'ils connaissent. Jörg est parti, mais Michael et Lena sont là, eux! Pour Michael, c'est un baptême du feu: du jour au lendemain père de trois enfants, même temporairement, il voit sa vie - alors si réglée - bouleversée et panique quelque peu. Lena, elle, fond devant le bébé et se prend bientôt également d'une tendre affection pour les deux filles. Michael et Lena commencent à parler d'adoption: Michael veut les faire adopter, Lena veut les garder. Comme ils n'arrivent pas à se décider, ce sont les enfants qui passent aux actes: ils s'enfuient. Certes, la maison semble vide tout d'un coup; mais c'est surtout l'absence des enfants que Michael ressent comme un vide… Et le voilà qui part à leur recherche, prêt à surmonter maints obstacles pour pouvoir enfin retrouver "ses" enfants et les ramener à la maison.

Seit die Polizistin Lena Stern ihren Verlobten Jörg für dessen besten Freund Michael verlassen hat, führt das glückliche Liebespaar ein Leben in Harmonie, das fast keine Wünsche offen lässt. Aber eben nur fast: Michael, von Beruf Arzt, möchte eine Familie gründen, Lena will lieber Karriere machen. Doch dann stehen plötzlich drei Kinder vor ihrer Tür: zwei Mädchen und ein Baby, Verwandte von Jörg. Ihre Eltern sind gestorben, und die drei wollen unbedingt zusammenbleiben. Da ihr Onkel jedoch gerade im Begriff ist, eine längere Reise anzutreten, müssen Lena und Michael vorläufig als Ersatzeltern herhalten... Der plötzliche Kindersegen wird für Michael zur Feuerprobe, und er versagt jämmerlich. Während er in Panik gerät, als die Kleinen sein wohlgeordnetes Leben auf den Kopf stellen, ist Lena gleich ganz vernarrt in den kleinen Jessie, und auch die beiden Mädchen schließt sie schnell in ihr Herz. Bald denken Michael und Lena über das Thema Adoption nach: Er will die Kinder weggeben, sie will sie behalten. Da die beiden sich nicht einigen können, nehmen die Mädchen die Sache schließlich selbst in die Hand: Sie laufen weg. Doch ohne sie wirkt das Haus irgendwie leer, und auch Michael muss schmerzlich feststellen, dass ihm etwas fehlt. Und so macht er sich auf, die Mädchen zu suchen. Aber erst nachdem er alle möglichen Hindernisse überwunden hat, kann er "seine" Kinder endlich wieder in die Arme schließen und sie mit nach Hause nehmen.
