A Wolve's Love
Wolves are dangerous. This is what we've always heard, from "Little Red Riding Hood" onwards. But are they really? Biologist Dr. Karin Aich is trying to convince the people of Waldstetten that wolves are shy animals that do not attack humans. Her research project, which involves the study of wolves and their release into the nearby forest, has aroused the hostility of the entire town - except for widower Franz Leitner and his 11-year-old daughter Laura. The girl, who has been taciturn since her mother's death, befriends the wolfhound "Toto" one day after releasing him from a trap in the woods. She and Karin nurse the wounded animal back to health, and forge a friendship that also includes Laura's father Franz. Franz's brother Carl, however, is against the project and attempts to sabotage it. He, like the rest of the villagers, supports the local wheeler-dealer Obermait, who claims that the site could be better used to build a small hotel. What no one suspects is that Obermait wants to raze the forest and destroy the town's natural beauty by building a gigantic tourist resort with golf course. He even goes so far as to kill an opponent. But his evil deed has been witnessed by Laura and Toto, who flee into the woods. As Karin and Laura's father set out to find the girl, Obermait also takes up pursuit - with a rifle…

Mon ami, le loup
Les loups sont dangereux. Du moins, c'est ce que l'on nous répète depuis notre plus tendre enfance, à preuve "Le Petit Chaperon rouge". Mais est-ce bien fondé ? La biologiste Dr. Karin Aich tente de convaincre les habitants de Waldstetten que les loups sont des animaux farouches qui ne s'attaquent pas aux humains. Son projet de recherche qui comprend l'étude des loups et leur réintroduction dans la forêt voisine lui vaut l'hostilité de la ville tout entière - à l'exception du veuf Franz Leitner et de sa fille de 11 ans, Laura. Taciturne depuis la mort de sa mère, la fillette s'attache au bâtard chien-loup "Toto" après l'avoir libéré d'un piège dans les bois. Laura et Karin pansent les plaies de l'animal sous le regard bienveillant du père de Laura, Franz, et se lient d'amitié. Le frère de Franz, Carl, est cependant résolument contre le projet et tente de le saboter. Comme les autres villageois, il soutient le notable local Obermait, un homme quelque peu douteux qui prétend que le site pourrait être mieux utilisé en y construisant un petit hôtel. Personne ne se doute qu'Obermait a l'intention de raser la forêt et d'attenter à la beauté naturelle du village en bâtissant un gigantesque complexe touristique avec terrain de golf. Il va même jusqu'à tuer un adversaire. Mais le délit a été observé par Laura et Toto qui s' enfuient dans les bois. Lorsque Karin et le père de Laura se mettent à la recherche de la fillette, Obermait leur emboîte le pas - avec une carabine...

Mein Freund der Wolf
Wölfe sind gefährlich. Das weiß doch jedes Kind, seit Rotkäppchen dem vierbeinigen Bösewicht begegnete. Doch stimmt das wirklich? Die Biologin Dr. Karin Aich versucht, die Einwohner von Waldstetten davon zu überzeugen, dass Wölfe in Wahrheit scheue Tiere sind, die Menschen nicht angreifen. Sie studiert das Verhalten der Wölfe, setzt sie im benachbarten Wald aus und zieht sich damit die Feindschaft des ganzen Ortes zu. Eine Ausnahme sind der Witwer Franz Leitner und seine elfjährige Tochter Laura, die seit dem Tode ihrer Mutter sehr verschlossen ist. Laura freundet sich mit dem Wolfshund "Toto" an, den sie aus einer Falle befreit hat. Gemeinsam mit Karin pflegt sie das Tier gesund, und so kommt es zu einer Freundschaft, der sich auch Lauras Vater nicht verschließt - im Gegensatz zu seinem Bruder Carl, der das Forschungsprojekt ebenso zu hintertreiben versucht wie die anderen Bewohner des Dorfes, allen voran der dubiose Obermait, der als profitablere Einnahmequelle den Bau eines kleinen Hotels propagiert. Was niemand ahnt: Obermait will den gesamten Wald abholzen und ein gigantisches Touristenzentrum mit Golfplatz bauen lassen. Dabei scheut er auch nicht vor der Ermordung eines Widersachers zurück. Die Tat wird allerdings von Laura und Toto beobachtet, die in die Wälder fliehen. Indessen Karin und Franz versuchen, das Kind zu finden, nimmt auch Obermait die Verfolgung auf - mit einer Flinte...
