National and international awards for programs by Bavaria Media Television

Programs distributed by Bavaria Media not only deliver audience hits and ratings successes. Numerous juries in Europe have honored a number of recent programs from the Bavaria Media catalogue with prestigious national and international awards.

High-school drama GOOD MORNING, MR. GROTHE, already lauded with several awards including Germany's prestigious Grimme Award, earned The Best Script Award at the Monte-Carlo Television Festival.
LA TRAQUE -MANHUNT, a political thriller telling the true-to-life story of famous Nazi-hunters Serge and Beate Klarsfeld, won two special awards at the Monte-Carlo Television Festival: The SIGNIS Prize (the prize of the World Catholic Association for Communication) and The Prize of the "Monaco Red Cross".

THE VOW, a thoughtful historical drama about the encounter between catholic Nun Sister Anna Katharina Emmerick, and poet Clemens von Brentano, won the Film Art Award 2008 ("Filmkunstpreis") at the 4th Festival of German Film in Ludwigshafen.
Furthermore, DoP Michael Wiesweg was awarded the German Camera Prize 2008 in the TV Movie section for his outstanding cinematography in THE VOW.

And last but not least, Bavaria's telenovela STORM OF LOVE, one of the most popular and successful series in Italy and elsewhere, collected the Italian media award Napoli Cultural Classic for the second time in a row. Actors Susan Hoecke and Martin Gruber, who play siblings Viktoria and Felix Tarrasch, received the award during a ceremony in the Southern Italian city of Nola for "best acting in a foreign Soap-Opera on Italian TV. "
